Land Rover Range Rover

03:37

Land Rover has just launched a fourth generation of their ultra-luxurious SUV, The Range Rover. The new Range Rover boasts of awesome new technologies and weight saving techniques. It also now has a new unique refreshed design. Thanks to the use of a lightweight aluminium monocoque body structure the new Range Rover weighs 420kg less compared to the outgoing model. The weight saving not only makes it more nimble but also improves its overall fuel efficiency.

The use of aluminium is also incorporated to the new front and rear chassis architecture. The new chassis design is not only light weight but also works with a re-designed four corner-air suspension to offer more comfort to occupants. The new suspension also improves the vehicles overall handling and agility capabilities. This gives a flatter and more poised and natural steering feedback to the driver. It’s also longer and wider than its predecessor, offering more interior space to occupants. The design department’s magic is visible on every inch of the new Range Rover. It now has new headlamps that stretch to the side in similar fashion as the Evoque.

Sporty and classy side look

The front majestic grill now sits at an angle giving the front a curvy and aerodynamic look. New unique air intakes sit below the restyled headlamps. Fog lamps are located at each corner of the restyled front bumper. At the side, the flashy gills on the fenders have disappeared. Horizontal lines that run on the front door tend resemble side gills. The side doors have also been redesigned. It also has unique stylish wheels. The roof now slopes in an almost similar fashion to the Range Sport to give it a sportier look. A large panorama roof sits on top to offer a relaxing open air feeling to the occupants. The rear has also been restyled featuring unique lights inspired yet again by the Evoque. Just like the previous models, chrome touches are visible on the rear of the new model as well.

More majestic than ever before

The new Land Rover Range Rover will be available with a choice of advance V8 petrol engines, TDV8 and SDV8 diesel engines that sit gracefully behind its restyled front grill. It will also be offered with a host of safety and off road systems, such as a new generation Land Rover Terrain Respond System. This system for example examines the driving conditions and automatically selects the best settings for the vehicle to maneuver through.

Advance systems make it more agile than before

Inside, the new Range Rover receives a fresh design with contemporary treatment and clean, elegant surfaces.  The surfaces have also, just like with the old king, been flawlessly presented using the finest leathers and finishes. Thanks to its larger wheel base, the interior receives 118mm more legroom. The rear passengers also benefit with the increased space and comfort. In a similar to the previous model, the new one can also be ordered with a two-seating Executive Class sitting package for a classy rear seating arrangement. Land Rover engineers have also optimized the body structure and improved the sound proofing of the interior. The windscreen and side door glasses have also been refined to significantly reduce the noise levels. This not only gives the Range Rover a quitter ride but also lets occupants enjoy the sound from the exclusive Meridian surround sound music system. The driver will also enjoy and amazing driving experience boosted by the refreshed front cockpit. The cockpit receives a classy new touch with restyled dials, center screen, air vents steering wheel and an advanced instrument panel.
